Norfolk Members Heads Up

01 May 2012 - 09:08 AM

Probably too late for today but may suit some for tomorrow, but anyone want to be a movies star. Today and Tomorrow at Snetterton race track they are filing more footage for the F1 film "Rush" which is due out around this time next year. The film is about F1 driver Nikki Lauda and th ebig crash which nearly claimed his life. Spectators are invited to attend for free and if possible wear period 70's clothing. So I assume you may well appear as spectators in the finished film footage.

Euro 4 Egr Delete Idea.

16 April 2012 - 08:10 AM

Over on Talkford there is a couple of threads concerning egr deletes for TDDi and TDCi engines. Now as we know blocking off a euro 4 egr valve will result in the eml coming on at some point. But it has occured to me that if the egr system is blanked at it's source so all the gases go out of the exhaust, would it to be possible to branch off a feed from the intercooler - egr boost pipe to run to the entrance to the valve itself so instead of exhaust gases entering the valve when it's open, it will just be more air from the intercooler. Does this sound feasible? Will this mean no eml as it will still register an air flow?
I still have my original (pre Forge) boost hose I could cut into and I'm sure getting hold of another metal pipe that runs across the front of the block would be easy enough or I could knock something up at work.

Does this sound feasible? Will this mean no eml as it will still register an air flow? Interested to hear your thoughts.
