Hi guys , I have a little problem here . First of all a have done a remap to my car to chipping company , everything was fine , but then I realized the on the 1st and 2nd gear my car have less power and I read somewhere that , the 1 and 2 gear is torque restricted , so we have on our forum something liku a Guru specialist that specialized on fords a provide PCM upgrades , so I went to contact him and he says that this is not a problem to get rid of this restriction .
So we met and he do his magic on my car . it was unbelievable , my car was reborn from the ashes like that bird Phoenix , it was like rocket . But this started problems , with my turbo .
I was at my dads home , and was leaving , so 1st gear to the red and when a change the gear to 2nd it literally blow up , lots of oil and smoke everywhere . tu turbo housing at the compressor side was open up and the compressor wheel was everywhere
luckily I have in my dads home replacement older CHRA , but that have minimum play but all over , so I fitted it after 2 days of work on the car and go home . About a month later I again blow it like the 1st time , so I decided to get brand new one (remanufactured with Mellett parts ) ,
I did all the jobs that has to be done , when I was changing it , completely stripped AIR intake and the IC from turbo to motor a I cleaned it . Also cleaned the inlet oil feed pipe to CHRA . Stripped down oil pan and cleaned the oil feed filter , and the also changed the oil filter .
WHen everything was back in one place I give te motor the best possible brand new and fresh (placebo) MILLERS oil 5W-30 eco .
But after this recent blow-ups I started driving more carefully .
So this careful driviness of mine goes about 6 monts with brand new turbo , and on one day I'm driving to my father again and there was straight road , so i decided to give a little boost to my car ( pedal to the metal ) , so i put 4th gear and drove on it , but on 4000rpms suddenly no power but no smoke , but i know what was the problem . so i called my dad and he tow me to his home .
I order then only a replacement CHRA again and the company stated it was made wit MELETT parts .
Again , a stripped and cleaned everything i could also this time i get brand new Inlet feed pipe-hose , new filters and oil .
That was in January this year . about in march we have heavy rains and my car goes in limp mode , and when i checked for possible problems (btw it was MAP sensor - the cables to it literally break ) i remove air inlet hose from turbo and i checked if its everything OK , and i was , but it has play to sides and it scratching the inlet housing .
So thet 4 changes of turbos and chra cost me more than 1000euros and still i aint got a reliable turbo .
In Slovakia where I live all company's that repair these chra , says that they use MELETT parts and that they use these expensive machines to calibrate these chra . But the truth is that these Chra have not any markings or laser printed logos and because of that , no one can be sure that its genuine Mellett parts .
From previous i know that some company's made HYBRID turbos , but i never knew , wahts was the fuzz all about . Ive done som research and find out the they do conversion from slide to ball bearings and give turbo a bigger lightened compressor wheel , they do all other stuff, but out turbos isn't good for that tuning.
And here is my big Q .
When i buy this Hybrid , will my troubles go away ?
