I was thinking about taking the rear box to bits, changing the internals somehow (like the YouTube vids on M3 exhaust mods) just to make it sound a bit better. I've had a rethink though. Been looking at MOT requirements and decided I could make it sound better without the hastle. It envolves some "drainage holes" and rivets
Well, I went from the race+ back down to the performance+. Engine noise is great, with bangs on demand. I'm not interested in a catback as I'm no boy!
On another note, I've put eagle F1's on now (contI sports on previously). Perhaps the contis we're really old but there's a hell of a difference in grip and ride. I had to buy a full set of wheel nuts at £68 because the originals fell to bits when the wheels were removed (didn't budget for that)
Put my Rallyflapz on yesterday. I was hoping (like it sais in the sales blurb) that they would make it look meaner, lower and more impressive and protect more from stone chips. I think they do just that, I'm very pleased. They make a bit of a racket when driving on loose stuff, just evidence that they are doing there job I suppose.
Resonator delete tube came yesterday, got it fitted today. The mechanic didn't understand why I would want to ruin a perfectly good exhaust. He started it up and it was only slightly louder than stock and his previous comments about it possibly failing the MOT because of excessive noise sounded a bit daft. Warmed her up and WOW! Sounds fan bloody tastic.
Thought I would change my disks and pads, so bought some grooved disks. Tried putting the rears on today and what a ball ache.had to buy a piston wind back tool because I couldn't move the Pistons with brute force and ignorance. I hope the fronts are easier to do.
Bought an old disklok for £30. Don't like the yellow ones, but at that price
