I'm just wondering what map everyone has on their car?
I've been looking at a few options. Originally was looking at a custom map, only for the place I've used in the past can't do it as they don't do my ECU.
Started looking at Bluefin but also looking at Celtic Tuning. Seems as though Celtic get better gains from the engine but unsure. Does anyone have this on their mondeo ? If there are any other options or places people want to share, feel free.
From posts on here Chris Celtic are fine. Remember a Custom map will give you slightly more horses than Bluefin but I doubt you'd notice much difference on the road. I've found Bluefin to be very good and Superchips backup has been great. Whatever you decide to do if you have a decat planned or a bigger intercooler and exhaust then ideally you should do your remap/Bluefin last after the other mods. :L
I've been planning a remap on my tdci and was looking at using MAS PERFORMANCE nr Leeds. They get excellent reviews and custom map to the mods you have, not just a flash map does all jobbie.
I'm looking at something to tie in all the mods and get a better ps figure plus torque but also keeping the mpg at a sensible level. ( I know that's partly due to the right foot at times.)
I understand that Ben at MAS is a top guy and really knows his stuff when it comes to mapping a car and using a rolling road.
Not 100% sure on this but I think he also will map your car 'live' out on the road too.
Hopefully getting mine done in the next month. My mates got his own little sideline business with alien tech kess v2.
He doing it at cost so he said about £70 plus vat for the map. Figures are close to that of the bluefin so I'll see how she goes!
MAL I remember your first write up about putting Bluefin on and doing the first road runs! Why not dig out the old thread and re post it for the lads it should be of interest? :driving: :} :} :}
Ive had a map done with the alien tech kess2 and I'm not impressed, the first map from them really smoothed out the power and was lovely to drive, but as you do I wanted more power he redid the map and yes it had mote power but it gave a buffer at low revs almost as tho I was in wrong gear! I had this map for around 3months but got fed up, I went back to UK chip timeing and asked them to put the first map I had from , they put it on but it feels like the last map, I'm not getting the smoothness as I did before! Plus it smokes more now!
Has anyone had the map from dreamscience similar to bluefin but half the price
