Hi,

I have an 06 (55plate) Facelist ST Tdci and it doesnt have the front flared sideskirts i see on all the other facelift models- it has everything else its supposed to come with (bar heated seats which i cant understand either).

Was there a gap when the facelift first came out before they fitted the sideskirts or is it possible they got damaged/broken and were replaced with a pre-facelift set if they would fit?

Secondly any idea where i could get some from? preferably in Machine Silver??

Your's may have been an older car registered after the facelift cars had come out. Stick your reg in Ford etis, it's tell you when the car was built and registered. http://www.etis.ford...BC194.eccvas502
You may well find some side skirts on ebay.

Aye your right- built back end of 2005 and registered later- It has the facelift "shape" and chrome parts/lights etc- didn't all pre facelift have the heated seats as standard fit though?

I would have thought so. Someone who has pre facelift should be able to answer that.

Its a confusing car- its like a Frankenstein! Maybe they put the old and new pieces together to finish them off at the factory

The seats are the same but not had them out to see if they have the heating filaments in them? Maybe someone just took the switch out? Who knows!

Does Ford etis give a full list of what the car had. Doesn't give a full list on all cars though. Dealers have been known to upgrade some parts to make a car look like a facelift model, or perhaps a previous owner has done it.

No it doesn't have any lists on there of equipment. I do know it was a company car before i had it so doubt they would have changed anything but maybe dealer or lease company did.

The shape is slightly different on the facelifts and it looks the same or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me?

Hi mate mine is a pre facelift and mine as got heated seats mine was registered march 2005 hope this helps mate

Yea every pre facelift i have seen has the heated seats and i have seen very few facelifts without them. Does yours have the chrome trim on front grille and around windows and the chrome handles as i dont recall seeing these on pre facelift models- like i said mine seems like a Frankenstein with bits of both!

No mate mine as not got any chorme on it does not have folding mirrors either that is a few of things with a pre facelift hope this helps

Cant imagine the folding mirrors would be a difficult retro-fit?

Do you Pre-FL guys have the Puddle lights/Approach lamps?
Then there's already power!

See i have the folding mirrors- very odd! Not sure on puddle lights never noticed unless the bulbs out? ill be under there today!

If your gonna fit puddle lights might as well upgrade to FL folding mirrors!
