I completly agree!
The XR2 and XR3 were brilliant but my RS Cosworth was in a whole different league!
Probably helps it was the Homologation Edition!

Bigger turbo but the lag wasn't good. But a monster all the same. You were lucky to own one :L

Old mate of mine still owns her!
Hidden away in a garage under a cover in almost mint condition, red, 3dr, whaletail, the works!
She's only ever track'd now, always promised he'd sell me her back one day but I know he'll never part with it, I never should have sold him it in the first place!
The R34 was just so tempting, JDM power!

'fraid so! Hind sight is a wonderful thing! I was once offered an original 3.8 E type Jag for £660. Didn't buy it 'cause I thought I couldn't afford to run it!

A little more exciting?! LOL!
You must have spent almost as much modding as on insurance for an XR!

Old Fords rule!
I'd kill for an mint condition MK1 Mexico!!!

Most of these "were" mint. I wonder if any of them have survived and are still around today.

Probably right. That was 1970 ish when £660 was a fair bit of money to find let alone pay the running costs. You can't even buy a new E type bonnet for that price these days!

It used to cost me £95-£100 to fill-up the Zed and I'd get 300 miles from it! (mixed driving!)
It'd be even less if it was a trackday at Knockhill or out on a Hoon!
My GF used to laugh and call it my addiction!

If this goes to production I'd say it's one of the necest cars they've produced in a long time!

Certainly like the look of the mk5, seem to have taken some styling ideas from the XF and XJ.
Works well.

These are pics of the next generation Mondeo due to be announced in a few months time based upon 'insider information and spy shots'. We all know that Auto Express can be a bit imaginative when it comes to their art work but I think in this case it could be quite close to what it will actually look like.
