Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Huff!-----------------not bloody likely matey! OK this one is below the belt but the knives are out now.
Just tell me again how long you've been driving and how many points have you got/had?
Oh! and I won't even mention insurance premiums!

.................mind you he did have a few points then........... afterall he was only 73 at the time
I think it all depends on how good a driver to start with.......... if you're a bad driver at 30 you're not going to be a better one at 70!!!!
A lot of the trouble is the poor old dears who only get out on a Sunday...................................

I try to stay home on Sundays Dicky so you're OK!
Re the bad driver at 30 bit. If anyone hasn't learned anything in the following 40 years they're probably too thick to be driving anyway!
But it doesn't matter who you ask, nobody admits to being a bad driver do they?

Yeah I was going to make some smart arsed remarks but it's not appropriate. It's shear luck that at present I have never had any points, not even a parking ticket in 54 years of driving, but as a young lad I did have to pay extra premiums for a few bumps. Managed to roll my first motor when I was 21 (going too fast because the bloke with the red flag was on holidays)
In today's driving conditions I think anyone is lucky if they don't get hit for speeding or get a knock. I'm just pleased I no longer have to do the daily commute I used to do!
I got caught in Ireland on my last visit, 11 pm on a stormy night, 60 mph in a 60k limit! I pleaded ignorance and accepted the road side bollocking but I certainly watched the speed limits after that!
Re where you live and premiums. Do chickens as neighbours put your premiums up?
Getting older doesn't have a lot going for it believe me! But reduced pensioner premiums helps a little.

It's just stress Rocky------I could send you a personal crap joke to relax you, if that would help?
Some of my jobs were extremely stressful at times, but now I just have to put up with Mrs P all day.

Ha ha! She has this little saying about our marriage vows. " I took you for better or worse----------but you're a bloody sight worse than ever I took you for!"
She's pretty much immune to the Peterex humour, but occasionally it gets to her. I love it when her eye's glaze over!

......her eyes glazed over as she reached for the carving knife..... ...your honour.
Having had to sit though a re-run of PX's jokes the judge let Mrs P off saying... the poor woman has suffered enough!

Ha Ha love it!
Got to admit Dicky I do lead her a merry dance at times, but despite the problems of age we have a good few laughs here.
The last thing we want to be is a pair of miserable old gits. There are enough of those around!
