eml has been on since sunday, tick over has been very erratic,up and down and very lumpy, more steam out the exhausts than usual, what information ive got off here is that ive got a split breather hose,ok,ive done a scan just and come up with the codes:
p0171-system too lean
p0174-system too lean
p1130
p1131
p1150
p1151
the above four codes all say 'manufacturer specific code' does anyone know what these are? cheers mike

The 02 sensors have reached their compensation limit, they are either switching to max lean or max rich.

I have had a little read of THIS and it suggests it could be your MAF,its either faulty or more commonly it could just be dirty and requires cleaning,to clean it use Isopropyl on a cotton bud and gently stroke the wire, you will see the cotton bud get mucky.

Then you will need to clear the stored dtc codes from your ecu,and see what happens after cleaning the MAF.

thanks again mick, just been to my local ford dealer (evans halshaw) and they managed to get me in to look at it,didnt tell them i had allready done a scan, they have said i need a new breather hose cuz its spilt and i need new plugs, total for this is £236 hmmm could they be right? or is it the maf? i no the plugs are a biatch,i was quoted 125 just for the plugs last year. where can i get some isopropyl from?
