Hi guys,

Would appreciate some help and info with the following:

My car has been into ford with some minr running issues and ended up having the injectors taken out and tested, they were cleaned up and put back in and now the problem has gone and shes running fine again.

Only thing is now when I psh the right peddle down theres loads more smoke comes out the back, much mre than before but once you start moving it soon clears?

can anyone offer an explanation as to why its started smoking now after the injectrs have been cleaned?

as you knw it has been mdded but has only ever smoked a tiny bit on initial toe down?

could it be cuz the injectors are now allowing more fuel through meaning map might need to be tweeked a bit?

Cheers for your help

It may be that the ECU will have to re-learn as it has adapted to the dirty injectors so maybe give it a few days or do an ecu re-set.

Has your MAF been cleaned recently?

spotless does not = working though. Just had mine replaced again as it was chucking out some impressive clouds of crap under acceleration.

Temp gauge keeps dropping replaced oil cooler stat and fixed
Wearing rear tyres quicker than the fronts
Squeak from tailgate replaced door wedges and squeak gone.

possibly, just seems odd that when it went into ford it was fine exept the erratic idle and rattles but now there fixed and its running ok, just blast a huge cloud when you put your foot down at low revs (ie when cruising then needing to over take) ?

I have now removed the blanking plate off the egr and cleaned it out, there was some crap in there but nothing that would raise any concern really, theres still way to much smoke when you boot it and the above mentioned engine light on but apart from the it appears to be running ok, hopefully the norfolk ghost will appear with his magic code reader to help me solve this mystery!

some say he brushes his hair with a wire brush cuz he likes it rough, and for breakfast he eats tiny children with whipped cream!

all we know is hes called peterex!!!
