Thanks mate, that's well handy to know - Here's one for you... The other day I realised that my cigarette lighter wasn't working. When I removed the trim panel which covers it, I found that the previous owner had disconnected it for use to power the Sony Ericsson handsfree kit which is fitted - where else can I connect the two Handsfree wires so I can plug the lighter back in? Sorry if it's a silly question, I know nothing about Auto electrics!

Also, might there be a way that the SE microphone could be intergrated behind the Mondeo microphone fascia located in front of the sunglasses holder?

you could connect onto cig lighter for the feed inline rather than into end of plugwith a connector or solder it.
or the back of the radio you will find a 12+ and 12 ignition dont kwow the colour of hand pal
as for the mic you could take it to bits and mount the mic behind the little grille

Thanks, so what would I use to connect to the lighter in line?

How do the mics come apart, would I have to break it? Do you think it would still sound okay behind the grill?

I bought a second hand ST recently fitted with the Ford bluetooth and voice control package. There was no manual with it, but I found one to download, which says that the kit can convert spoken numbers into DTMF tones, so that you can use things like voicemail ("dial one to listen to your messages") without needing to touch the handset at all.

Just shouting out the numbers achieves nothing (except making me look a bit of an idiot), do you know how to use this feature?

Thanks,

Steve.

Thanks Peter!

Now I can budget at least. Gonna fit my Alpine Ipod head unit this afternoon, gonna need some decent speakers to back it up.
Anyone got any of these speakers? Reviews?

Yo Slack,

my sister has just brought a 2008 Peugeot 307cc.

She wants bluetooth, I suggested I fit a Parrot like I have fitted to my ST.

I have just been doing some research before buying the bits and have come up with a couple of questions that I cant find answers for.

1, I know I need a SOT lead, but there are two listed for the 307, one for an amped HU and one for a non-amped HU, how do I know if it has an amp or not?
The HU just looks like a basic one that plays CD's/MP3's.

2, on a 307 forum I was checking, they said that the use of the trip comp/remote audio controls etc can be lost when changing the HU. Even though I am not changing the HU, will the SOT lead also cause loss of these features? Or will I have to do the same as I did with the ST and remove the plugs for these features from the factory plug and place these onto the new SOT?

I hope that makes sense,

Thanks
Paul
