Forum Shuffle

Posted by monkeyra, 01 June 2011 · 524 views

We're having a shuffle of the forums.

In a nutshell:

Mondeo ST TDCi and ST220 will now share a common set of forums

Mondeo ST24 and ST200 will now share a common set of forums

Focus ST and RS will now share a common set of forums

Fiesta ST and S1600 will now share a common set of forums

It'll take a few days to move all the topics to the correct forums, so please bear with us. Hopefully, it'll make things easier for people to find the right forum to ask their question, and also to search for information.

not liking the shuffle.

Why's that?

Am I missing something, or has "I spotted an ST" vanished? Only asking coz I spotted a mint 54-plate P Blue ST220 on Monday in Shirley and had a chat with the owner & told him about this site. He had the car from new and it clearly had never been through an automatic car wash.

Also, please bring back the Shoutbox!!!

It's in the "Off-Topic" Category :L

Oh, and the Shoutbox is there, it's on the left-hand side of the forums :)

Thanks Monk!

Now I've got to learn how to scroll down

Hi Monk,

I've had a little idea that could help. Every now and then someone will post a link to a useful document like the Ford Tech Service Bulletin for the droopy rear bumper, or the press cutting quoting a senior Ford guy saying that DMFs are inherently weak.

Of course, you don't actually need one of these until months or years after it was posted, and it takes ages trawling through all the other posts that meet the search criteria before finally dredging it up.

How about having a section where all the useful "evidence" documents like this are posted? I envisage there being one thread where us general users post documents and another where only the moderators can transfer the ones that aren't the inevitable "Thank you" or "didn't you know that?" comments. So it would be run like the Wiki.

I bet you're going to tell me that it's already here?

Nope, we haven't got anything like that :)

Two options spring to mind though:

1) Make use of the downloads section of the site: http://www.stdrivers...uk/forum/files/

2) Upload it into the wiki

Or a sticky thread with links to documents. It's preferable we host the file itself though (assuming copyright allows this) as links change/disappear.
